Im still trying to think of which one to go with... any opinions on which one and why?

You may as well not even ask this. All they're gonna tell you is to search. There are many threads on this. And even a sticky with exhaust sound clips. Search youtube as well. plenty of vids on there. :D

holy $hit your an *** hole to the noobs as usual...just let them figure it out on their own....

if i had the money i would have bought magnaflow over my flowmaster but 265$ for a full catback was hard to pass up.

This is the system I have. I also have the MagnaFlow cat. I will tell you, you'll love this system. I wanted exactly what you want. This was recommended by my muffler shop. At idle or cruising, you just get this low hum... can't even hear it if you have the radio on. When driving normally, it has a very nice, mellow low tone... kinda medium-low in volume... pleasant. When you get on it though, you can hear it. It's not blasting loud, but it will belt out enough to tell you're punchin' it. You'll love it.

Here's a small video of mine. It was recorded with manual mic levels, so the sound levels are linear though the gears.

go with the magnaflow cat back, it may be a little more, but it's worth it, i don't regret it at all, because i get alot of compliments on how it sounds for a v6, and all i have is the magnaflow cat back, and high flow cat. Look on ebay, usually you can find an auction that is buy it now or best offer, and just throw an offer at them, and usually they'll counter, but it will still be better than the buy it now price.

As repetitive as this is, I'll add my opinion.

I have all 3" piping with a 3" in/out hi flow cat, and a flowmaster 80 series muffler. It sounds great, I get tons of compliments, and in my opinion, I think it sounds better than magnaflow (and yes, i have heard them in person). However, my muffler is starting to rust out internally now and gets rattles in low rpms, so I would suggest magnaflow because it's stainless.

i must admit...my flowmaster 80 + high flow on otherwise stock pipe sounds pretty sexy at idle and cruise...just DONT rev it above 3 grand...1500 when ice cold...cuz it'll make you wanna smack ur car with a flyswatter...

btw, my muffler's only 5 months old...and it's rattling!...believe i'll run a bullet next time...
