So have a new pipe from the manifold to the cat made that will attach to the 2.5" cat and just install it and the new exhaust. Gotcha.

But I'm not sure I don't really want to have the headers installed. :)

no, you don't. All you would need is a 3"-to-2.5" adaptor that would go on the end of the y-pipe

Is that an off-the-shelf part from AutoZone or will I need to have it made for my car?

I was saying I'm pretty sure I DO want headers on my car. I used a double negative. :)
Thanks for the help, by the way. I ordered the Magnaflow exhaust last night. I can't wait until it gets here!

if you're having an exhaust shop doing all the work, they'll be able to handle it.

I'm not. I'll handle it myself. I may take it by a shop to have them weld it up when I finish.

then yes, you can find the adaptor at a parts store

Sweet. Thanks again. I'm looking forward to getting that old cat out of the car and get the new one (and the dual exhaust) installed.
