yea it does, but im guessing only when the car is going 30+ mph because the air needs to be pushed through the flex tube to get to the front part of the filter.
You lose any ram effect when/if you do pick any up because the air coming in the fog light opening and into the tube just comes out the sides of the filter if the pressure in the intake is higher then what the motor is sucking in.
Cool better than mine I've just got a cone filter straight off the throttle body
Take my advice, shave the stock lid and put a piece of 22.5* pcv elbow in place of the silencer. Cones suck in hot air and theres nothing good about it (except the wooshing sound :) )
yea it is shiny, but just so you know, gains are not going to be better from doing that. The 55 bucks could have been spent elsewhere where gains would have been had. but to each his own
