Re: Best Air Intake???
ive got a slp cold air induction, K&N, and whisper lid, similar to the one stated above, i really really like mine but i can see where the open K&N intake could be more beneficial...im not sure how much if a money crunch you are on, but if you want a cheaper way, get the SLP cold air induction, shave off the fins on your stock air lid, and get a K&N filter...that will cost around 150 dollars....if you buy a new lid it will cost around 250 or so....either intake will make you happy....hope that helps1999 White Pontiac

Re: Best Air Intake???
oh, ok...As opposed to stock, right? Well, I have a Carbon Fiber Whisper Lid on my 02' and I think it helped a little, but it's hard to tell. The differences are very minimal with just an intake. It's not that noticeable really. It you do the exhaust too, you'll feel much more of a difference though.2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

Re: Best Air Intake???
I'm not suggesting you use this company to order from, but this is what I have on my car:

Nice intake and once I get the exhaust done it should make the car feel much better when breathing. I'm already pleased with it. I have the Magnaflow exhaust sitting in the original box next to the high-flo 2.5" cat. Just waiting on the ceramic coated Pacesetter headers to arrive!2000 Camaro V6<br />I\'ve done nothing to my car worth note. :)

Re: Best Air Intake???
If you don't really have a money limit.. Wait first things first. Ok, how much power do you really want to get out of your car? I'm just sayin this because when you first start adding you'll want more and more. And if you don't have a money limit I'd say go all out and turbo the thing. That'd save you money and time on the lid or K&N intake.

Re: Best Air Intake???
Hey
I'm just throwing this out there, for those of u on a budget, go to ebay and find the chromeintakes store. They have brand new cold air kits for under $50. They are also made to fit the 3.8. They come in one piece or two piece systems. They claim 5-12 horsepower and all their kits come with a lifetime K&N filter. They also look very cool in chrome.
