When I looked up in the K&N Intake Book at Pep Boys, it said this intake would fit a 98-02 Camaro (From what I remember).
And Now here, it's saying it will only fit the 99-02 Models, does it make a difference?
Thanks

TCI Deep Pan, Royal Purple, Trans-go Shift Kit. Should be done in January.
no cause the 98's have the angled throttle body. the fipk sits straight
YAAAAAEEEEEYAA. If you can't find anything make something. If you do find something I would shoot for a tune sometime in the not so distant future. I have seen Camaro's with fipk and it threw the air to fuel ratio off so far it was close enough to burn a hole into a piston. It would probably take about a year or two but he wasnt getting the performance he thought he paid for. If you have a stock hood you should get a lid. fipk induces hotter air thatn just a lid with k$n filter. It was a Z28 on a dyno and it was ok before the only mod, The k&n fipk .
i am selling that intake off of my car in the for sale section if you are interested. $225 shipped. ive put probably 400 miles on it, but i cant use it because i am supercharging my car. if your interested let me know
You can make the intake work by using the equivalent of dryer ducting to connect the two, but that would completely defeat the point of having the intake in the first place
it's a GT Factory Vertical Door Kit. I have the manual kit, but I suggest people to buy the Automatic Kit if they're interested.
The Kit is about $1,800.
And this is kind of a bummer to hear the K&N intake wont work. Now what do I do? SLP Lid?
