    Re: pacesetter headers and gaskets

I think most people ordered these:
    http://www.ftpp.net/V6/Exhaust/V6%20...er%20Bolts.htm

I went with the Abbott gaskets. They contain aluminium and work quite well. Others have had good luck with the Fel-Pros, though. I just haven't heard many people liking the gaskets from Pacesetter that come with the kit.

I've heard the same. The question is which is better, Abott or Fel-pro?

They cost about the same, but if the Fel-pro are just as good I'd get those cause I can order my cat- gaskets and stage 8 bolts all from summit in one purchase.

no one answered my other question...
Summit carries two types of stage 8 bolts, model numbers STG-8911 and STG-8911A. The only difference is the "Underhead Length." The 8911 is .75" and the 8911A is 1". Which would be the right one to go with?

The old ones are studs and hold on a cast iron manifold, entirely different from a header flange.

What length bolts came with the headers?

Felpro gaskets are good , their not paper they are metal, and cheaper than Abbott. I just order some stage locking bolts from 97RS4LIFE, I forget the his website, it is on fullthrottlev6.com as a sponsor.

this helped me a lot. I found the site you were talking about and they had the proper product number which I was able to find on Summit. I ended up going with the Fel-pro gaskets and we'll see how they work out. Thanks for the help everyone.
