My first thought is, is the stock Y pipe 2.25"? If so, I'd guess it's a loss of roughly .25", making the Y-pipe roughly 2" and really restrictive. If it's 2.5", then it's keeping the 2.25" the rest of the stock exhaust has, but adding twice it's weight.
Either way, I'm looking forward to when mine comes off in 3 weeks even more now!
Edit: Kinda hard to tell from the pic, maybe even a .5" loss on the inner pipe? Maybe ridiculously restrictive?

Re: stock y pipe
y-pipe should be 3". The front of the cat is 3", so y-pipe should be the same. The cat then reduces to 2.25" for the outlet, and so does the rest of our exhaust.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Re: stock y pipe
The outlet of the Pacesetter Y pipe where the converter would hook up is 3". The leads from the headers to the 3" pipe is 2 1/4 and single walled. The outside of the stock double walled pipe is 2".Last edited by bigbrian442; 02-09-2008, 12:25 PM.sigpic
