today i got into an argument w/ a guy who said a cai is the exact same thing as a supercharger. i told him there two different things but his ignuarnt *** wouldnt give. so the question is a cai the EXACT same thing as a supercharger???

Wikipedia has the perfect definitions, which you have access to if you have access to this site:

Supercharger: A supercharger (blower) is a gas compressor that forces more air and thus more oxygen into the combustion chamber(s) of an internal combustion engine than is achievable with ambient atmospheric pressure.

yep big diff in price too. Cai-$100-$250 Supercharger- $2000- $4000

yep, exact same thing!

kidding....just type supercharger, and cold air intake into google images and you'll get a clear idea of what they look like too.
