  • Locking Header Bolts - Pretty Cool!

Bit of a pointless post, but my Stage8 locking bolts came today. Played with them for a bit, pretty cool little things. Since the headers were installed on my stock heads I used pacesetter gasekts and bolts, saving the locking and the abbott gaskets for the mod'd heads.

Got to say, tightening those header bolts every other day is getting old. These things are pretty darn nifty though. Looking at the tiny package I have a small pit in my stomache thinking they were $50 but still... will make life easier later.

I bought my Stage 8's from ftpp.net, looks like the ones I got. They're listed in under the V6 stuff pretty clearly. $50 is what I paid too.

Geez, I'm almost wanting to get these, but for the $50, I could eat lunch for the next 3 weeks :(. They would be nice though........You think you could make something like these? Could you get a close-up of the bolts and the washers and such that are on them?

Don't see why not, I did pay for them... that should entitle me to take any picture I want of them right? I mean.. it's not like it's made by FORD. ;)

Give me a bit, eating lunch right now. Will after that though. Not much too them, just the locking arrow, a normal E-clip, and a bolt that has a grove turned into the head.

                      PS: Kit #6912

Screw the bolt in , TQ it down put the washer on the top of the bolt then put on the locker washer. Kind or werid the washer goes on top then the locker washer. But that is the install directions.

so wait. u tighten down the bolt then just put the washer on the top of the botl and then put the lock on top of that? sounds strange but if it works ill buy some when i get headers
