I have a 2000 camaro with the fly by wire set up and I wanted to get a throttle body spacer. I called summit to get one, they said that all the ones they had were for 99 down. I went ahead and got one anyway figuring it's the same. Am I right to assume this?

No. It's most likely for a FWD engine.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

^here's my link. Instead of talking all this "it said this" and "it said that," just give us the link
EDIT: Also, when it comes to throttle bodies...anything that's gonna work on a 99+, isn't going to work on a 98- without modification...so, the fact that it was listed as fitting both, should have been your first clue to spend $80 on something worthwhileLast edited by Smoke Panther; 03-26-2008, 06:29 PM.

Not exactly...supposedly it suppose to separate the tb from the intake manifold...lowering the air intake temp.
I don't know about gaining any power...but it definately keeps the tb cooler than the super hot intake. My reason for using it is to keep the "electrontic" tb cooler...we all know heat kills electronics.
