  • need to tone it down a little

My set up is long tubes, into an off road y-pipe (no cat) which goes into the s-pipe.

i have the slp lm2 system from there which looks like this

any suggestions? i would like to keep all the pipes, i dont really like the look of the ugly muffler sitting under the gas tank.

Is there any muffler small enough to fit in the pipes just before the tips? Or replace the slp muffler with something a little quieter?

It looks like you could fit two more of those slp mufflers right before the tips.

Super traps, but they would take the place of the tips. You could also easily take the diffuser disks off to run at the track.

i dont know how it would work out with your set up but i just got my exhaust back together using this set up. headers into a small summit glass pack (2.5 in/out, 18in long) the glass pack replaces the cat. then it runs back to my flowmaster. even with headers it sounds real mellow with normal driving, but has a nice sound when you get on it. I think the car is even quieter than it was before i put headers on it, (i didnt have a glass pack then, just straight piped to the muffler in the back) the glass pack really took out all the rasp. i ran it up to 4500 and had no rasp even when it was cold. you might be able to put a glass pack in place of where your cat used to be, and it should mellow it out.

i decided on these. one muffler in each outlet pipe. And it's adjustable. Also if i want i can just take it off very easily.

and i kinda like the way they look. It's different and you can swap out the caps for different looks

Re: need to tone it down a little

I put a Magnaflow bullet resonator where the cat used to be and it worked really well.
