I plan on having my local shop install my Pacesetter headers onto my '96 in the next weekend or two and based on recommendations on this board, I picked up some Stage 8 locking bolts and a pair of Abbott gaskets.
Do I still need to re-check and re-tighten after the first couple drives, even with the Stage 8 bolts? Someone suggested that I instruct the shop NOT to put on the locking "clamps" yet until after a few re-tighten/re-checks.
I don't mind spending the extra $$$ for the parts but want to make sure the install part goes without a hitch. Your thoughts?
