I want to rip out my flowmaster crap and use all the piping and hook up a borla muffler.

    Question:

anyone have the borla muffler think is sounds awesome? even tho its a V6?
I am only finding ones with a single outlet. how are there duel pipes coming out of your setups?

Could i use the same piping for the borla setup? sure right? i read that the borla inlet is oval shaped..?

i was just looking in the wanted section... guy has a borla for sale, couldnt see where the duels hook up...

somebody shed some light for me?

the borla mufflers are only single inlet/outlet, they have a piece of piping in there which is essentially a cutout

This is what is on my car with Pace setter headers. It's quieter then the Flomaster and has a very deep tone. Almost no rasp.

          i was looking at this:

          http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...&vid=5&pcid=97

at the bottom of the page.

worth the price it seems. but dont want to make any hasty deals without some well rounded individuals opinions such as yourselves.

Not sure which size your piping is but http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Borla...spagenameZWDVW
            http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Borla...spagenameZWDVW
the first link is 3" inlet, the second is 2.5". Both are single in dual out mufflers.

I don't have either of them, just a stock Z28 catback but I will definitely look into one of these when I have the money to upgrade. I'd like to hear a setup similar to mine with this muffler though...and I swear these used to be cheaper on ebay.

I know a guy with those on the ends of the headers of his 9 second 69 Firebird. It's the reason I bought a Borla. They are quiet compared to Flowmasters and have a very low tone on a V8.

I have the Pro XS muffler. I really like the tone, because, as stated, it's quiet, and very mellow and deep.

                          Question:

this sound is mostly at idle? how about when you WOT it? is the rasp bareable? i ask far to many questions but, im just so sick of my rusted out flowmaster.

Performance has gotta be better than flowmaster then right?
