Naca ducts

considering adding a couple NACA ducts onto the bottom of the car, right up in that high pressure zone before the air dam leading into the air lid compartment, should be like free ram air x20, low drag and doesn't rob as much air from the radiator. Need to do a bit more research first and see if I'm going to fab or buy a premade one. Not sure I trust the math skills of most companies selling them. Not expensive though- so I might try a couple. Gotta get out my leaf blow for a couple aerodynamics studies ( the ghetto windtunnel).

And I'm also considering relocating my battery to the trunk and moving the windshield washerresevoir to the batter compartment so I can get a bit more complex in my setup. The stupid hood latch is there though...



Anyway, anyone played with NACA ducts? they're pretty cool stuff. Another ten points for physics.

Great Physics with them, but I've never used them. Might want to draw up a theoretical design before you go and do all the work for nothing..

yeh. the main problem I'm coming up with is trying to figure out what size and orientation of them would be for the best flow.
