i plan on having my intake manifold ported by a local company, but I dont know how large i should tell them to port it out. i have stock heads...suggestions?

Gasket match. They don't match from the factory and you want to remove any casting flash and open them up a bit. Gasket matching will open them up about 1/8-1/4 all the way around. There will be clearly defined carbon build up to guide whomever. Do not polish the runners to a completely smooth surface inside.
