might as well, unless youd rather spend 300 on volant or k&n
The one he has looks real dirty. I'm guessing using it makes the air filter get a lot dirtier quicker. I just wanted the ram air hood for looks, but if this thing will help I guess I might as well use it. Will it work on my car? He had it on a V8.
Yes most parts are transferable from the V8's to the V6's but you might have to make some adjustments to the parts to make them work 100%. Deleting the silencer is a definite must. For mine I just took a section of 2.5" PVC pipe and painted it red to match the car and put a K&N sticker on it. People think that its actually a K&N part too.
Lots of sparks during the cutting. I've never had a problem with any water or junk getting into the intake. The K&N filter does et dirty faster, of course. I figure the only reason GM did not make the nostrils functional was to have more reason to sell the Ram Air option.

Any luck adapting the center mount from the V8 to the offcenter of the V6 yet?

actually the bump is designed to create an area of high pressure air behind it from the Bernoulli effect. Cutting the nostrils could theoretically destroy your fluid dynamics. In reality, it'll probably be fine.
if you are wondering this for your new ram air hood here is what ive found first hand.
I have a ram air hood off a WS6, i drilled out the rivets that held the baffles on to make it functional, i still use the lid system for my intake, and even at idle if you put your hands up to the vents on the hood you can feel it sucking in air...and thats just at idle. that shows that it is getting ambient temperature air without the car even moving.
I'm going to find a...??lower air box?? if thats what its called...(the black plastic thing the lid sits on) off of a WS6 because they are a lot taller than the V6 to make it even better.

haha thats because you have that dang supercharger on there
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
