It works so well that I've already gone thru 3 K&N Filter. Just that the dirt gets stock on it really good.
Strangely I feel a tab bit more power now just with the new hood. Could that be because of the cold air coming in through the ram air holes? I would use the intake that came with it, but the thought of having to buy a new K&N filter doesn't sound that fun at $70 a filter.

just get the cleaning kit for your k&N it's about 20 bucks from autozone. You don't have to throw all those filters away, just clean'em and recharge em with the oil

Well my current K&N filter I have had on for almost a year now still looks new. How do you know when they should be cleaned?

I think it says like every 60K miles. I dunno. Do it as often as you want.

Do you guys have any problems with oil getting in your intake from them?

The only instances of oil getting into the intake is when the user over-oiled the filter. Recharge it properly, and you won't have to worry about that

Actually, if a single drop hits the horsehair in the MAF, it'll foul it instantly and you'll have to replace the entire sensor.

Well just recently I am throwing the code P0174, which one of the causes could be the MAF, and Im wondering if that is causing the problem. But I have had my K&N on for over a year now and I haven't recharged it yet, still looks new though.

uh okay. why dont water or nitrous damage it? and dont tell me its because they atomize...so does oil, much more actually.

Oil is actually much more dense than nitrous or water, even in an atomized state.

But i'm still not positive that it would foul the sensor out that easily.
