buying help

so i have been looking on ebay for exhaust systems and i want a 3" catback but every one that i can find that is 3" says V8.
my question is will it fit my 3.8 with no major mods? what will i have to do if anything?

Most of it will fit. From what I know the hangers will be the main thing you would need to replace.

Summit has a nice 3" mandrel bent pipes for a good price and have the stock hangers.

i just went to a shop and had them run 3" all the way back, cost me less than $200

how??
i went to a local shop here and the guy said 425 for 3" catback with a flowmaster 80, 480 with tips.


why would the hangers be different?

My first experience with the exhaust shop suck A$$, the used their bending machine to bend the pipes and after further looking at them , about 2 months later I found they did a sh!tty job. Wasted I think it was right around $500 at that time with a high flow cat and a 80 series flowmaster. Now I do my own using pre bent mandreal pipping and save big time. I use to weld the mufflers on , now I just tack weld then easy clamp(after 4 different mufflers), works great. I'll be putting in my 3' cutout before my Summit turbo 3" muffler this week hopfully. Also replacing my 2 2/12" flanged header gaskets with copper ones again. The old ones lasted around 9 years.
