Re: h pipe or x pipe

Its said that an x-pipe will give you more power but the h-pipe will give you better sound. I have a 2.5" h-pipe for sale if you need one $35

would it sound bad? I told my dad I putting on headers and he was like "oh your going dual? that'll be pretty tight" so I explained that I wasn't, mostly because of catylitic converters and he kinda didn't understand. All his cars were like 70's z28, 69 GTO, detroit v8s. I guess cars aren't the same, but I wasn't exactly alive. He said he was getting 13:1 compression in the GTO because of leaded gas. WTF.

The absolute BEST exhaust I've ever heard on a V6 was true duals with a Borla muffler. It was a dude on FTV6, I'll try to find a link to his Fquick or sound clip. There was no rasp at all, not even in the higher RPM's.

^^Yeah that would have been good info.

I have no idea what it will sound like on a 3.4.

On a stock car i dont think there is a reason for true duals unless you have future plans...

Yeah, as long as you get good mufflers (AKA borla, and not something like flowmaster) it should sound awesome.

I'm doing true duals with mine too, but then again I'm also doing H/C and longtubes.. lol

Re: h pipe or x pipe

the x-pipe is known to produce more torque, and the H-pipe more horsepower gains.

they both equalize exhaust pressures = less snap, crackle, and pop as compared to true duals.

How do you pass emissions with true duals, and what about the o2 sensor after the cat?

K&N air filter, Whisper air lid, magnaflow LT1 cat back, and magnaflow high flow cat, pacesetter headers, silverstars

more to come soon
but for now im out of money
