  • EGR Operation & Tube Question

    Hey,

Putting pacesetters on...manipulated the lower EGR tube enough that it snapped. I've pulled the tube off and blocked the hole on the header, but my question is, does the EGR system have a filter in it? I don't want a piece of metal from the tube going into the intake manifold...or anything else from where i broke the tube off.

I'm planning on having a mechanic put the tube back on when they hookup the cat, so i don't want to completely remove the EGR.

it would be best to just take the whole thing off and plug the hole on the intake. Then later when you get it fixed you can stick it back on.

started it up without catastrophic failure...I'm taking in on monday to have the work finished................don't really want to make a bunch of extra for everybody...I figured with all the rusty dusk & junk in the pipe that busted, there must be a filter in there.
