Who all is running a resonator on their system? What kind? The bigger the diameter, the better it would be, right? For instance, a 4.25" diameter resonator would sound better than a 3.5" diameter? Would a 4.25" even fit under out cars with no problems on a 3" exhaust? The resonator is 11" long

Re: Resonators
well, I'm tryin to tone my down abit, but mostly get rid of alot of the rasp. Tryin to decide between a resonator and a hi-flow cat; resonator will probably flow better, but cat will probably work better for what I want.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Re: Resonators
Well, I got my exhaust fixed today, and after looking under my car, I don't think I'm getting either :P. My "custom" S-pipe has no room for either one, and I don't want to pay to get a new S-pipe as well. O well, I can live with my current set-up.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Just have a resonator welded into the i-pipe...
Kristen, I got rid of my flowmaster resonator too. That didn't do much for the rasp. However, many straight through resonators are more effective at controlling rasp while keeping a throaty sound.

Re: Resonators
You won't need a resonator if you get a good sounding muffler that does not rasp, like the 3" Summit Turbo muffler, no rasp to 6000 rpms. And if you want more sound you can do like I'm doing 3" cutout before the muffler.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
