I'd like to do a new exhaust system.
I have a couple idea's in mind, and am looking for some input so I can price things out, get some quotes etc...
I should mention that I have the stock tubular manifolds, and do not plan to replace these anytime soon.
1st idea was to follow in slo6's steps and go true duals with Borla xr1 mufflers. I'd also have to have cats because I have emissions testing here and they put a mirror under the car. No big deal. My concern is if a shop would be able to weld a flange to the stock manifolds at some point to get this on the car. I know the manifolds have a pipe within a pipe, so I'm not too sure if that would work out. If theres some way to do this that I don't know about, fill me in.
2nd idea is a setup that many import exhausts use. Looks something like this:
I would use an Aero Turbine resonator on the I-pipe, and then 2 borla xr1's at the end and exit this at the rear bumper. I think this would sound pretty good, have limited rasp, and be much cheaper than getting true duals set up.
Input?
