  • catback interchange?

possible to use a corvette C4 catback on an fbody? They look like they might hang to low, which would be a shame, cuz they look great and sound vicious.

just cause it sounds good on a vette doesnt mean itll sound good on a v6. wouldnt work without alot of screwing with it and it wouldnt sound good.

...and even if it did, C4's have V8 engines in them; gonna make a big difference in the sound you'd get

its not the same set up, is it? i mean you cant just go and take an exhaust from whatever car you want and throw it up there. a corvette has different bends and everything in the exhaust. not to mention it would prolly be a true dual which would prolly sound just really loud and annoying on a v6 plus true duals would be very hard to make fit.

yeh I saw one in a parking lot today and parked next to it and got out and did some eyeballing. I'm sure it would need a little work, but the biggest issue would be ground clearance, as the vette pipes hang wayyy close to the ground.

well i mean hey, if you come across a cheap one and wanna take it on, do it. i cant imagine many people have tried this before, maybe its the secret key to making the worlds best sounding v6. i doubt it but you never know till you try.

If the piping is bigger, I'm sure you could cut and weld what you need. The biggest issues are the S pipe and over the axle thats about it.

I think the C4 goes under the axle. That sounds strange to me, but thats what it looks like.
