    Re: header install

Someone on this site made a little guide when he did his pacesetter headers, here it is..
    http://www.cardomain.com/ride/278896/9

Hopefully that helps you out somewhat...

Other than that, if there's no clearance for a ratchet and socket, than use a good old fashioned box end wrench.. If you need more torque than double wrench it.. If you don't know how to do that than put a piece of pipe on the end of the wrench..

As for your problem with the plug.. Use an open ended wrench on it.. Get the plug out and than deal with the wire.. Worst comes to worst you need new plug wires, and it sounds like you already do anyway...

Get some liquid wrench and soak all the bolts so that they loosen up for you.. Give it a couple of hours to penetrate than do it again right before you start..

        Re: header install

That sucks dude.. I don't know what else to tell you.. I had to rip my plug wires completely to get them off.. I did my header install today with my neighbor.. I headed over there at 8:30 and we were completely finished including a full tune up by 6:30 PM. That included a trip to the parts store and lunch. It takes a lot of patience.. Just keep at'er.. As for the bolts.. You can't reach the other ones?? One of you needs to be underneath the car guiding the other person as to where the bolt holes are.. Simple as that.. It's just tedious.. Hopefully you can get 'er done.

            Re: header install

Some people aren't cut out for this.. lol. It's kinda weird that you can't get the bolts started. Get a tap and re-thread the holes. Do it straight though. :-p

              Re: header install

I had an issue with the bolt on the drivers side closest to the firewall. I had to use a factory stud because the new bolts kept on getting stuck after a few turns in that one hole.. I didn't bother tapping out the holes but if you're really having issues than yeah listen to Blizzard it's probably the best way to go. Hopefully you didn't cross thread anything.

make sure you put some anti-sieze in those plugs when you reinstall. Actually, get some new plugs and put anti sieze on em
