my e-cutout was placed on the i-pipe, near the back seat cavities...that's where most people put their cutouts, because of the natural valley that's formed by the back seat mounting; no loss ground clearance there, no damage to the cutout hardware, be it manual or electronic. Also, there's a convienant place to route the wiring thru the floorboard, near there

      smoke is right.

      1. most catback systems use the muffler after the axle, and you want the cutout before the muffler anyway.
      2. theres gromets in the floorboards under tha back seats like smoke said.

you can put it after the cat, ive seen it done in alot of different spots.

i dont know the stock cat length off the top of my head, but id guess 14-16 inches. i know my magnaflow highflow was a good bit shorter.

i was thinking of replacing the stock cat with a bolt on cat that is the same length as the bolt on cutout so when inspection comes around I'll throw the cat back and then I don't have to put the cutout after the cat...i just measure my cat today and it's 12-12.5inches...the cutout is 12 inches so i just gotta get a 12" bolt on cat and I'm good to go

I put mine right under the passenger seat.

I dont have a cat at the moment, but when I do get one I'll put it AFTER the cut-out.

do you have a pic? where exactly is it?

i have a cutout waiting to go on, but i have the rumbler so i cant put it under the back seats ( it would be after the muffler ) but i dont really want to put it after the cat, i dont really have alot of room after the cat ( S pipe is there ) and i dont think i could put it before the cat, theres not alot of room.

My 3" cutout is right before the Summit Turbo muffler in the rear. It is a manual one, I have only ran it one time with it open, too loud and raspy. Will save it for the track.

That looks good Shodown, I might invest in a electric opener as well.

The badlanz one is good. I've had mine over a year. I like that you can open it as much or as little as you want.
