Muffler Delete

OK I am sure this has been beaten to death but I dont see anything in searching and there are not as many posts on this site as there used to be.


Does anyone have any good information on a muffler delete pipe? I was thinking about going out and buying a a piece of straight tubing and two U-bends and making a piece.

I am sure many have done this. I think there used to be somewhere online that sold already made ones but I cant seem to find it anymore.

I am not here to listen to everyones opinions on what they think it is going to sound like. I am more-so looking for technical information on how others have done this or if there is a place to buy pre-made ones.

i know i am not contributing to anything your asking i am just voicing my opinion.. some of these cars sound bad enough with certain mufflers.. it will sound horrible with out one at all...

i am sorry i guess people have weird taste.. haha a 3.8 does NOT sound good with out a muffler nor does a 3.4

That's what I was going to suggest. They're on eBay all the time, and go for fairly cheap. Good luck and post a sound clip when you're done. IMO, it's going to be way too loud and raspy; I already think my muffl'd cat-back is pretty loud and raspy, I can't imagine one with no muffler at all!

R u just talking about a cutout? basically the same thing right. I love my 3.4 with no muffler at idle and up to 3k. Any v6 is going to rasp above that muffler or not. its loud and has a good rumble to it. soundclip down in my sig as always

back before i got my flowmaster i ran it straight-pipe for like a week, and i didnt really mind it that much. i think i would of actually been happy with it if it had slightly bigger pipe to deepen the sound a bit, but it was stock pipe.

Get a Summit Turbo, or a Dyno Bullet, and never look back.

^^^I have zero rasp with my Summit Turbo muffler, so I would suggest that.
