    Re: Lead foot= 15mpg?

Not to change the topic of the thread or anything but i had a small mishap today. I took the car in for exhaust work. I wanted true duals dumped to glasspacks before the axle. Well thats what i got however the guy only put on 12" glasspacks! I didnt even wanna take the car because I knew it was gunna be loud. I assumed he was gunna put standard 18's or 22's on. Theres plenty of room so I know it can be done he just cheaped out. Anyway I have to take the car back tomarrow because the driveshaft hits. They ran both pipes 2.25 inch on the one side. After they fix it Im hoping Ill just pay a small fee for the 22's which should be quieter right? I mean its almost a 100% increase in sound material space. Either that or dynomax bullet mufflers but since they ran them both on the same side still not sure why... idk if theyll fit>

Nothing as of now cuz Im takin the car back tomarrow. Just imagine your car with open headers maybe a tad quiter down low. Or its kinda like standing next to a small cessna running wot it drowns out the radio up top. For example my uncle has a jeep with a 283 chevy in it and a friend has a 302 ford pickup both have cherrybomb 22's and they sound soooo much quieter. Being v8's with more cubes they should be louder but I belive its the fact they have 20 more inches of sound baffling between the two pipes.

The car runs fine so I dont think the pcm was redone for the turbo however I have been driving nicer and its about 15 mpg mayb a tad more. however I also live in south florida ft. lauderdale to be exact and theres barely a .5 mile between traffic lights. Usually less...
Is all the turbo piping still in there with a little modification or what's up? Also, I bought a rebuilt garret for 600 bucks that has been doing an amazing job. I didn't have 2 grand either.
