Will a magnaflow rust??

Hey i ordered a magnaflow exhaust this week and was wondering if its alright to have on in the winter or will it rust??

if its welded the welds will rust, but not the system itself

My Edelbrock rusted. Donno if they claimed stainless steel. Just a thought.

Not if you weld with stainless how you're suppose to. I've seen a lot of people weld on stainless steel with a normal steel spool and yeah, that rusts. Then I've seen a lot of stainless steel welds that don't have a spec of rust on em.

yeah but most exhaust shops ive seen use aluminized thats why i figured ive seen welds rust, but very true you should use stainless on stainless but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta due i guess. i thought magnaflow was bolt on anyways?? i dont have the system myself but just wondering..

Yeah, I believe they're bolt on but like any exhaust system you're gonna want it welded sooner or later.

As long as they are stainless welds it won't rust. And like Blizzard said, you're better off getting it welded.
