Re: tierd of the raspy v6 exhaust?

I know mine has know rasp and it is deep at idle but not like a V8, but sounds good through the RPMS. This is with a VS cam, RKsport headers, 3" exhaust , no cat, Dynomax 3" in/out muffler with a 3" turndown. Also the Summit muffler sounds good too, I had that before I put on the Dynomax. The only way to hear a exhaust is in person unless you have a good @ss sound recorder. Thats why I never trust recordings, Meatyshells car sounds outstanding in person but on his recordings it sounds way different.

Come out to PHX,AZ and you can hear 2 Camaros with no rasp, mine and Meatyshells. I'll shift every gear at 6000 rpms. If you think all V6 Camaros have rasp then you have not heard alot of V6 Camaros with proper exhaust setups or you haven't searched this forum or the other forum FTV6. Do some searching! I have went through 3-4 mufflers to find the right ones that don't rasp, Summit turbo $20 (little too quiet) Dynomax Turbo ($65) check them out or do a search on them.

Thats TX, so about another state over. Have you looked on the forums over on FTV6, about the Summit Turbo mufffler, there are alot of guys running that mufller. Post this over there and see what response you get. I think there are a few members over there that live in TX.

flaming you do know that rasp is not from it being a V6 it the individual exhaust system.

Personally I do think Osha87's Camaro is the best sounding out there. Especially after having that exhaust setup and then installing a cam check it out. If anybody wants to say you can't make a V6 F-body sound good this will prove you wrong. Unless of course your retarted lol. With the right mufflers you can make a hell of a difference in the sound of your car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMdRV9ZHH3M

agreed. his car is great sounding but it is incredibly loud. The original owner of that exhaust said it "made my ears bleed". I think we have yet to find the best setup for our cars.

Does anyone know whether Osha87's got a Catalytic Converter. I know he basically has a header back exhaust as opposed to a cat back exhaust which I'm sure makes it a whole lot louder.

its not the fact that it is a v6, its exhaust system, combined with cam profile, head configureation, and tuning. a mustang V8 has a complete different sound than a LS1, cause the 4.6 is a different engine. all engines sound different, and ours happens to sound raspy.

and you can search other exhaust threads, i have posted that video before saying that it is the best sounding l34 exhaust ever.

Granted, it's not a 8 cylinder, but I still like mine :D In reality, every motor has a different exhaust note to it.

like OMG. all of you are wrong. This guy says he has the best exhaust. he even says it on video... lol

                              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXJUb...eature=related

personally it reminds me of a Honda with a bad cough...

Im trying to figure out how to keep the car quite, but have somewhat of a deep tone when I lay into her. Im not trying to make people cover their ears when I drive by...

after watching some of those videos with camaros that have cams.. wow.. it sounds like its missfiring lol its not a rumble, its more a rubble.. lol imo.
