Well i didnt have work today so I went to home depot and picked up all the stuff and am currently in the prosses of the pvc mod. So the piece, basically the bottom of the air box, should I and or do I cut some holes in it for air to come up straight to the bottom of the filer?

yeah, forget the holes, just cut that whole bottom part out. i'll find the link for you real quick.

yeah I searched and found it, and after 4 and a half hours of cutting, sanding and alot of fine tuning i am done, im going to go back to the home depot to find some rubber punches so i can make a hole for the sensor, then I am totally done :banana:. I will post pics up soon.

Thanks man. i'm a huge fan of black actually (props to schlotzky, the crow, ssms, for example), but yeah, not many ppl have my color so it's definitely a great way to go.

thanks, i got some wine color for the pvc that was close to the color of our cars but its a little more red but stilll looks good

thats would be cool except my method replaces the need to use his method lol, because mine uses a straight 3" piece to the throttle body

true, but i'd still consider it an upgrade...very close to a whisper lid.

i did the silencer delete mod w/ pvc like that first before i got the real deal, and i could notice a difference between the two

well i noticed a huge difference when i put my home made lid on, and it made i big sound difference, im going to get a video when i get dyno'd next saturday

along with my slp cai & ram air kit, and opened front of the air box, my lid makes a great whistle sound even under light acceleration that kinda sounds like a faint s/c whine---i love it.
