Bay far the best gasket available for any header is the Remflex
www.remflex.com.
They absolutley positively do not leak.
I dont see anything listed for a Firebird but they do list the 96-03 3.8. Id give them a call to see if it wil lfit your application.

I'm sure anything would work, I mean, Pacesetters used to ship paper ones! I'm not sure about any other pricing, but the $35 for Abbott's seems fair for peace of mind. Lots of reccomendations on this site for those gaskets. I bought some Mr. Gasket collector gaskets, and they seem to be made of the same material. Food for thought.
