  • V8 cat-back fit?

Alright, I'm looking at getting a catback for my 95 3.4 or even just a muffler and some nice tips. The problem is I will be doing an LS1 engine swap in the future and would rather not buy two different setups. I was planning on getting a magnaflow muffler and some tips(Haven't decided on what though) The muffler is a 3" in and 2.5" dual out. Part #14267. Now I thought I read somewhere that everything behind the cat is the same on the V6 and V8(Besides pipe diameter) Any truth to this? If so that would mean I could get the cat-back kit(Part #15684) and keep it for the V8. I'm also getting a 3" in 3"out hi-flow cat aswell.
So in the end I should have a 3"cat, 3"piping all the way to the muffler then it splits out into dual 2.5" pipes ending with dual 3.5" tips. Do I have this right?
