Everyone has said that the 3.4L has a weak bottom end. I was wondering which part if any individual part is weak. If and when I build a motor to handle NOS then I would like to do something about this so it can handle a bigger shot.

Pistons, piston rings, head gaskets, yada yada yada.
These are typically the weakest links first.
Then things like crank, rods, etc.
If you build a nitroused motor then do everything.
It doesn't make sense to go half way.
Technically having a completely forged motor doesn't mean it is 100% safe with nitrous. Anything can happen but a build motor is, obviously, much stronger.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet

Where can i get forged rods at? I don't think they have a forged crank available so what can I do to make it stronger? thanks for all the help.1995 Firebird 3.4L M5 Custom Shaved Door Handles, TA front bumper, TA rear bumper, Ram Air hood, 2k C5 18X9.5 Chrome rims, New PPG paint, TA rear spoiler, 2k TA honeycomb taillights, Rear silver pontiac inlay, all silver badging, H4 headlight Conversion kit, RK Sport Ceramic headers, Hypertech Programmer, Rear disc rearend, One piece driveshaft, 3.73s with LSD, Camaro Two tone seats, Custom Stereo install
