• Installing a new NX wet kit...

I am getting the nx wet kit and I have just a few questions for everyone.

1) Where is the best place tio mount the bottle? I want to put it where the spare tire is and add the blow down tube out the bottom of the car.

2) If I mount it there will the kit have enough line to runn all the way to the front?

3)where is everyone putting their jets? before the maf, after the maf, before the bend in the elbow?

4) I want to keep the install as stealthy as possible, anybody mounted it in a rather stealthy way? (Parents and stuff)

5) What is the basic time droped when going to a wet 75 shot?

Thanx ahead of time!

1) The bottle must be mounted at a 15 degree angle with the nozzle (handle) pointing towards the front of the car. Spare tire area is completely fine for a location for mounting. blow down tube will just come off and go straight down and out the car.

2) You will have enough braided line to go from there to the engine (17 feet? I think)

3) Magnus seems to have the best mounting locations for nozzles on a wet kit. Drop him a line for a pic. It is a great shot.

4) Stealth, drop spano a line. I've seen his system!!!! (or maybe I couldn't find it )

5) 1 second? should happen

6) what about race gas? i know some people that run race gas when on the bottle. Is this recomended or just mental.

Just run super.
With the high shot I run and no ignition retard I run a combo of 94 and nos octane booster (silver bottle) with nitromethane

so the race gas would be overkill? just use super and a bottle of the silver nos additive.

Thanx

17 feet of nitrous line, good lord. I guess it's different with each car I suppose, mine only takes 13ft from all the way in the trunk, under the car, up to to the engine.

I dropped two and a half seconds with a 70 shot, I think it depends on how slow your car is to begin with, mine was a turd.

As far as fuel goes I just run 91 octane, stock plugs and timing, engine runs great.

I suggest ngk tr 6 plugs for safety.
I would never run stock plugs.
I would stick with super (93)
Some places only have 91 so that would do.
I add the octane booster cause I run a high shot.
It can't hurt though

Well I got the kit. Got the octane booster. Got the bottle installed and got the line run from bottle to engine bay. I got some of the electrical stuff wired in the console. I am cleaning the throttle body to instal the nozzle. Any advice? suggestions? I cant friggin wait to finish.

What safety systems do you have?
Install them before you use nitrous.
Start small!!!
Let us know how it goes also, we all want updates :D
Best of luck

I am supposed to pick a fuel saftey switch before I finish and thats about the only saftey device I am going to buy initially. In the end I will have them all! :D Had one quick question for you guys. I was looking at the throttle body magnus had on his site... what in the world did you use to cut the center post out with. I am taking my tb to work tommorow and hopfully I will get it all polished and modified correctly. Any hints?

Well I got the thing installed... HOLLY COW CRAP!!! That stuff was awesome. I didnt get the bottle real warm, only had the minimum presure. I also autotap-ed it both before spray and after. Just for saftey measures and testing I also only ran a 35 shot. I felt a difference in get up and go, big time.

I love it. NX rocks. Apperently so do the rest and I cant believe I waited this long. I took ton a pics I posted a few of the install on my site. I am working on a write up for it. I will keep everyone informed of how it goes.

Thanks again for all the help and advice.

Great pics but one suggestion.
The bottle is supposed to be mounted with the pick up line at a 15 degree angle.
Take a look in the link in my sig for a pic.
With the provided brackets it will give it a 15 degree angle.
Will yours work, of course.
The manufacturers suggest the 15 degree angle for best results.

Going to look at that this weekend. I bought some sheet metal and stuff to mount it a little differently. Thanks
