Is it better to have a ported throttle when running nitrous? Does it make a difference? And can you get your nitrous to mix with the fuel and then spray out the fuel injectors?

A correctly ported throttle body can only enhance a nitrous system.
When used it will ingest aLOT of extra air!!!
Every bit helps, you may not notice a gain with just that but add ported heads, intake etc then the whole package together functions very well
You can mix fuel and nitrous (wet kit) but it is sprayed out of a y connection. You can not have the mixture shoot out of an injector.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

Hey James what would you recommend for a correctly ported tb, with the intetion of running n20 through it? You posted about how i need the maf screen, but I removed it for the reason of more airflow. As far as our years go polishing and porting the tb and keeping the screen just doesn't make much sense huh?Josh
96 Red Firebird
SLP intake, zex nitrous 75 shot(for sale), purge kit, MAC lca + phr, Jamex springs, flowmaster 80 series, ES tranny bushing, SCR subframe conectors, Harlan shiftlight, A/F guage, MSD dis-4, Accel wires w/ NGK tr6\'s, foglights, stereo, zexel torsion LSD, Walboro 255 pump, and more.
Looking for: 1le ds, nx wet kit + accesories

I have no experience with porting the throttle body.
I think magnus and ironman have done it.
As for porting the throttle body and keeping the screen in:
From my experience it seems as though 97 and older v6's need the screen in for nitorus.
W/ a damaged screen I experienced a huge bog but at higher rpm's it would work
W/O the screen I could not even use nitorus, the car would bog completely at any rpm
98's and newer seem to not need the screen.
This is just an observation I have seen with all our nitroused members
Of course porting a throttle body and keeping the screen in does not make sense but I wrote above what I've learned.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

hope this doesnt effect me too much. In 98 when the car was only a year old I removed the screen completly. :( Threw it away. I am hopfully gonna polish my tb tomorrow. Hope my 97 teaches me a lesson that is alittle different than yours

Hey, if you are juicing and having no problems then it is ok.
If you need another screen stop by the dealer and it is 8-12 bucks I think?Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
