  • Maximun wet shot on STOCK internals?

    Hey guys!

I was pondering what the max wet shot of nitrous our 3.8 internals could handle? I know Min is running that 150 shot!!!...he seems to doing just fine. I am looking to see what the max shot the 3.8 can handle internally with average use? I really don't think that the 150 shot is that safe for normal nitrous use, maybe 125?!

    What are your guys opinions?

I think its more like 75 with a stock engine.

Edit: Let me correct myself. Thats 75 safly. You can go over but you never know what will happen. Your car could do fine with a 125 shot. Then again it could blow at 50. Who knows

It's a risk. Nitrous itself is a risk.

If you plan to go over 100.. I hope you have a walbro 255 in that tank of yours. Thats the only fuel mod you will need to do if your running a wet kit.

You can kill your motor with a 75 shot if your not careful. Even if you are careful, power adder is power adder and its still risky.

I little bolt could be fatigued, not heat treated like it should have been, slipped through quality control.. 1 little bolt.. it doesn't take much.

      It's really hard to say.

I could see 175 shot holding up for a pass or two.

Honestly I'm surprised Min's car is still running. I find it hard to believe his stock fuel system is providing enough for the 150 shot of his. :(

I was told the safest is an 85 shot on 3.8L stock internals. But then again like the fellas said above, anything can happen its just a risk to use it.
