It will stop eventually. Do this.

Uncrew the gas cap to relieve pressure.

Unplug the fuel pump... near the back drier side tire in about a foot are 2 connections that plug into the body.. just disconnect both of them.

Then start the car till it runs out of gas (shouldn't take long).

Wait 20 seconds and start it again.

There should now be minimal pressure in the lines.

Yup magnus is right, it will stop.
As for the wire, yes it is the purple wire.
I spliced it into the o2 sensor in front of the cat.

Do 94's have a non heated o2 sensor?
This is my only guess on this
How many wires do you see for that 02 sensor?

94's do NOT have heated o2 sensors. Also, there is a o2 and each of the manifolds and not one on the ypipe or around the cat. Therefore it would make it difficult to tap into both of the 02 sensors for a reading.
