  • Is this too much fuel?

I connected my kit yesterday and took it out for the first time. I hit it in 3rd just to see if it works and it was sputtering. I hit it in second and got a little backfire. I have a NOS wet fogger with .042 as N2O and .028 for my fuel. Is this too rich? Shane has his at .046 and .028 respectively and his runs fine. Should I bump my N2O to .046 or bring down the fuel to .024?

what pressure were you running the NOS at? Are you sure you have the solenoids wired correctly to open at the same time? Sounds like you are running a little to much gas and/or not enough n2o. Did you follow the chart for the jetting or are you just guessing? It is not as simple as take a step down on both.

I went to a performance shop and this what they recommended. They deal a lot with LS1 and LT1. The bottle pressure was a little low, like 800.

That's a little low on bottle pressure and your n2o jet might be a little off, I run a 43 and 28 on my 3.1. Try to get the pressure up first, then rejet. I'd get a pack of 28s(8) then drill them out to the sizes you need, it's cheaper that way and you can get the system tuned to your car, air/fuel gauge works very nice for this.

Well, I went today and switched the 42 in for a 46. Got the bottle pressure up to 900 and it solved my problem. This thing has some balls now. I smell 13s tomorrow baby.

Never ever drill out jets, they are precisely cut/drilled already.
If you mess up then you might accidentally send more nitorus in and run lean and go boom
Did you change to ngk tr 6's?

You can easily drill out jets precisely. Yes you can buy each one individually to the size you need but it's cheaper to buy them in the pack of eight that they come in. Get the pack in the smallest jet size you need then drill out to specific sizes you need and then you have your own personal jet pack for your car and it's just as precise if you bought them straight from the store.

Well, went to the track and made some runs. It was pathetic to say the least. The car still runs like crap, but i figured out what is wrong. It is my coils, they are shot. Getting new ones today.

Drilling a jet is not safe!!!!
                  I stand by this.
What if you slip just a bit and the hole you drill isn't 100% perfect?
Can you be 100% sure you can do as good as a computer vs your hand and eye?

I am with 12sec, I dman sure wouldnt do it. Even if I did have a bench and micrometer aided drill press.
