  • How many people actually have a permit to carry nitrous oxide??

I just got the renewal form in the mail last week and sent it in. The new permit arrived today :D
In New Jersey you get a permit from New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services
    Consumer and Environmental Health Service
    P O Box 369
    Trenton, NJ 08625-0369
    It lasts for 2 years.
On the permit it says "intended use: race car/ vehicle"
So do you have a permit?
Jersey law says you can have a closed nitrous bottle in vehicle. You can not have an open bottle or pressurized nitrous system on the street legally.

PA you don't need a permit. WE also need to close our bottles and have no pressure in the system.

A full closed bottle is fine with no permit.

say i have a remote bottle opener, I shoot for a little bit then close the bottle. the system is still pressureized right. so how do i get that pressure out. not just for cops but because i would think that leaving pressure in the line could be bad. I here a lot about the purge thing. does purging let pressure out or something?

Yeah, purging releases some nitrous from the lines into the air. This will relive the pressure on the nitrous selinoid and ensure there is no air pockets trapped in the lines before use.

              Purge will release the pressure.
But then you could have a huge cloud of nitorus above your car (depends on where the purge line is located though) or in a pinch you can do what I stupidly did one night. Grab the nos wrench and just release the nitrous psi into the car.
I was speeding and using nitrous.
When I was pulled over the cop saw the nitrous line was dissconnected.

Shirl, they sent me the renewal application in the mail
