• one question turned into three or four???

When using a dry kit, how is extra fuel provided??
I have read about vacuum or somthing but my question wasn't answered by doing a search. What hooks up to vacuum. I thought that a dry shot just used the MAF to sense that there is extra O2 going in the inake so the ecm compensates by making the injectors inject more fuel to keep the mixture from being too lean. And would it be a good Idea to use two n2o solenoids for safety, just incase one sticks open. Where would you mount the fps switch on a dry kit. Oh yea one more thing, how can you boost you fuel pressure with out changing the pump in the tank. thanks a lot any info is greatly appreciated :D

the vacum line is hooked to the fuel pressure regulator that is how it compensates fuel

you can mount the fpss anywhere really i ran a line off the schrader valve to a T where i got my fpss and a fp sending unit for my gauge and just rigged up a bracket to mount it in the engine bay

to boost fuel pressure you can get a adjustable fuel pressure regulator, bigger injectors and a inline pump any of those help

hope this answers some of your questions

thanks a lot but can you run an in line fuel pump with the one in the gas tank?? I'm sorry if I am bugging you but what does the kit do to the fuel pressure reg. to increas the extra fuel and how do you know that it is the right mixture?? Obviously it's set up the right way because it works. But what I really want to know is if you can run an inline fuel pump with the one in the tank?? Thanks again. I think I will proabably get a dry kit.

Dry kits: fuel psi is increased via vaccum and the fuel reg.
As soon as you hit the button nitrous flows and the vaccum is raised (I think raised and not lowered) and the fuel psi is cranked up. It's all done within a split second.

You hook into it via a t fitting.

The MAF is there for fine tuning.

If one or 2 stick open you are screwed :( One is just fine.

The fpss is mounted just off your fuel rail. There is a black plastic cap that you remove, then you take out the schrader valve and screw on the fpss and then wire it up.

Boost fp via an adjustable fuel pressure regulator :D

Can you run an inline pump? They have piggy back style set up. Also I think the blower people have an inline pump plus the stock fuel pump and they use a fuel management unit (aka fmu) to compensate.

How do you know if it is the right mixture? 2 ways, easiest but not the best is an air/ fuel ratio guage. Second is measuring the millivolts? (or just readings) on the o2 sensors. I think .800 is good, ask magnus on this one

Any other questions??

thanks a lot for the info I have a much better understanding of a dry kit. One more thing, wouldn't you be screwed if you were running a dry kit in a manual and accidently hit the rev limiter when on the bottle? What would happen if you hit the rev limiter when squeezing with a wet kit, would that hurt anyting. Thanks a lot!

That's why you have a fuel pressure safety switch.
Trust me, I know, I've done it
