I am thinking about getting a Nos kit, I hear alot of good things and bad thigns about it. I know jack **** about it pretty much My first question is, being kinda tight with money and all what all would i need to upgrade and change on my car? Right now all i have is exhaust, cold air, KN, (trans go, vette servo and trans cooler are getting put in later this week). I dont know to much about the kits and all and i would hate to have to buy the kit and then spend like another 500 on parts and stuff to make my car safer from blowing up or something.

All in all, what should i buy with my kit to help make my car safe. i have a 98, 3.8, A4

thanks alot, really appreciate any help i can get

i think all you would need is the basic kit, i dont know exactley what the NOS kit comes with, but bottle, lines, solenoids, wiring/electrical, and fpss (fuel pressure saftey switch) should be what it comes with. you should be ok with just that as long as you dont run a huge shot.

          yeah, almost forgot :D
new plugs, everyone recomends the NGK-tr6 plugs, thats also what I'm using. Also, not needed but highly recommended is a bottle heater, it keeps the bottle pressure nice and high so the nitrous really hits hard when you spray.

I dont know much about dry systems, you could ask 12secondv6, he had a nos 120 shot dry system.

I'm using a wet nx system, from what I've heard, wet systems are safer, since they spray the extra fuel with the nitrous.

          hope this helps,

First do a search in the nitrous forum with the words 'Joe petit' I found this book at barnes and noble and I found it very informative.
Get the name and either go to the store or go online.
              Read up first.
With nitrous you NEVER cut corners!!!!
If you wanted a nitrous kit I would suggest the nos kit 5175. The only extra's you must have are fpss (fuel pressure safety switch) and ngk tr6 plugs.
NOS designed a nitrous system to work with the factory fuel system.
Don't go over the 85 shot
There are many extra's that can enhance your system.
Buy or read that book I mentioned.
Any questions feel free to ask

i'm assuming the NGK is a colder plug than the AC to prevent detonation.(?)
