Ok, in my perfect world, my purge outlets would be shooting straight up out of the two fake vent thingies near the front of my hood (93-97). Now, I'm also hiding the whole setup, so it looks like the solenoids will be mounted up under the fenderwell by the SLP intake. That means the lines for the purge will be running more than half the length of the engine bay back towards the windshield, then nearly the whole length of the hood forward to the outlets. That makes for a pretty long line, about 6ft. Is that too long??

Nope it is not too long, you just end up wasting a lot of nitrous.
My solenoids are mounted right near my battery. I used to have an 8 inch line that would shoot up by the headlight. Nice easy, and a lot of nitrous was not wasted.
I then when to a dual set up at the base of the windshield.
It goes from the battery up the side of the passenger side fender, then turns right towards the center of the windshield. It then splits there into dual 6 -8 inch long lines.
Looks better, more intimidating, but wastes more nitorus.

Cool... I don't want to purge much anyway (I hope)... I'm setting everything up sleeper style. :D

OK there are a couple of reasons for purging;
When you turn on the bottle it pressurizes the braided line. Initially there is air in the line.
You have the purge set up mounted right by your nitrous solenoids.
When you hit the purge button it gets rid of the air and fills the braided line with nitorus.
You can be more consistent w/ a purge. You can also get a slightly quicker hit w/ a purge.
Also if (in the hot summer) the pressure is really high you can lower the pressure by purging here and there.
Now the fun part :D
It is the ultimate instigator. someone throws you a rev, you purge :D
Did you know that weather effects the size, diameter, and height of a nitrous purge?
If you get a nice cold humid night I've had twin 40 foot nitrous clouds.
In the rain it is a guarenteed nice purge cloud.
Hot dry weather barely gives you a 6 inch white mist :(
If you sit next to a car and it purges twin 40 ft clouds of nitrous do you really want to run it????

Nah, I've left the bottle on overnight before.
Usuaully I don't though.
It will not hurt anything as long as the solenoids are not leaking.
Just imagine this; the bottle is left on overnight, your nitrous solenoid has a slow leak, overnight it slowly seaps into the engine through your nozzle mounting location. It slowly overnight bypasses the throttle body plate.
You go out to the car, start it and boom!!!!
engine was full of nitrous and not enough fuel, yes it could happen, but most likely it wouldn't
