  • cant make up my mind

right now my engine is stock. just exhaust on it. i wanted to get a supercharger but i guess that wont happen till another year or so, or untill BATMAN finishes up his project (cant wait)

so i've decided to turn to nitrous for a power adder right now.

I have a 96 Camaro RS. with the 3.8 in it. ithas a 5 speed also.

Im totally new at nitrous but my friend knows how to use it. he said he'll teach me. but wont help me hook it up. what an ***

but anyways, what is the best kit? i want nothing more than a 75 shot. i dont kno if i want to do wet or dry shot. what exactly will i need. and abotu how much money will the setup cost me?

also, most important. will i be able to install this myself? i dont know much about nitrous, but i know a lot about my engine, or engines in general.

BTW::: its only got 22k miles on the engine

As far as install its not hard really just read directionss and dont skip ahead. it is all wires and mounting so wire switches and plumb nitrous fairly simple. If you follow directions

i have a 97 rs too. i have the nx wet kit. i love it. i highly recommend it. wet kits hit harder and have more tq... install is very straight foward. with a wet kit you have to drill and tapped your tb. a machine shop can do this for 25 bucks. mine kit was 1100 dollars. but i got the genx3 package too.... email me, i'll give you all the details..

I think he might want to get a dry kit.
The wet kit required a drilled and tapped throttle body. He plans on switching to a blower eventually so this might cause a problem at a later date.
I would suggest the nos kit 5175.
Everyone above answered it pretty well, thanks guys.
Also do a search for a book I always suggest, search for 'joe petit'
