I am beginning to begin the install on my 5175 kit. I wondered if anyone has mounted the bottle between the rear seat and the trunk, the flat space where the fender wells would be. That is ideally where I would like to mount it. Also where is the best place to run the lines through the firewall and mount the solenoids.
thanks
Can you mount it there, sure.
One thing to keep in mind is that the gas tank is right under it.
I've heard that there is only a 1 inch gap in between that area and the gas tank so you must be careful if you drill holes to mount the bottle.
I've also heard of people welding two brackets to the metal to mount the bottle.
For me I ran the lines out the drain plug under the carpet right in front of the rear passenger seat. The line then traveled along my passenger side sub frame connector and came right up by my battery.
My solenoids are right by my battery.
Check the link in my sig to see pics.
