Have you ordered the Harlan window switch or are you just looking for some information? Maybe I can help? My window switch arrived a few minutes ago and I will be installing it today. The only other window switch that I know of is the mallory window switch. It's price is in the area of $100 I believe. Check for a thread in this forum posted by me labeled "Mallory window switch part number" or something to that effect. There are a couple links in there for it. However, I would strongly suggest the Harlan unit. It's small, simple and looks like it's gonna be easy to install (4 wires). If you have any specific questions ask here or via email to me, I may be able to help.

I tried to order it, but paypal said it couldn't send money to that recipient so I emailed asking if I needed to pay by some other method. It gave me an order number and everything, but I haven't gotten a reply to my email. Did you send a money order or what? I just want to get in touch with the guy and make sure my order went through, or find out if I have to place it again. I don't feel right about just sending a money order over there without having some confirmation that my order is on record in the first place. What process did you go through?

I just tried again. Still no luck. I guess I will send payment via mail and hope things work out.

Update: This time I got an email response that my order was placed. I didn't get that the first time. I'm sending in payment via mail.

So how did it go? Is the switch working well?

Actually still haven't installed the switch. I spent the whole day Friday (the day I got the switch) installing my line locks, and planned on putting the window switch in on Sat morning and experimenting with it before going to the track on Sat night. Two things went wrong: 1) From 11pm Friday night until Sunday afternoon, it RAINED. 2) I woke up Saturday morning with the worst sore throat I've had in a long time. Swollen throat, trouble breathing, couldn't eat.
So needless to say the switch didn't go in and I didn't get to the track (feel sorry that Harlan overnighted it to me for nothing... still sending him a thank you card). Hopefully I'll be able to get out tomorrow morning and install the switch, then play around with it some before work tomorrow night. I'll keep you posted.
