what exactly does "grenading" the engine involve? everyone keeps saying that even a brand new engine could "grenade" after just a 50 shot, but what does that mean? does that mean complete decimation of the engine? what are the likely bad effects of nitrous?

many many many!! break a piston=not good
    break a rod =not good

there are too many things to list... Use your imagination and nitrous can possibly do it.

But it wouldn't be as much fun if there were no risk. You take a gamble everytime you spray it's great isn't it. :D

Well you could be looking at a new bottom end I think, but on to effects of N20, your piston rings stretch when you use it, and depending on how much N20 you use they can snap causing the piston to possibly break, then the rotating assembly will "eat" it and you will be hearing metal crushing sounds and then...well you should just get a new motor!
