  • Wiring the Kit -- Help

Ok, I was out there in the sun wiring up this kit (finally), and I ran into a few snags.

I *don't* want to drill through the firewall if I don't have to. Where are you guys running your switch wires from the cabin to the engine bay? I'll drill if I absolutely have to, but I'd much rather not.

Also I need a switched +12 volt power source for the arming switch. I was thinking I'd cut the +12volt going to the cig lighter then splice it back together with the wire to the switch. Will that work?

    Sorry, I'm wiring stupid.

ANY 12V source is fine, as far as running the wires, it's best to drill the firewall. you don't want to run the wires through the door jam.

Right behind the PCM there is a rubber Gromet where the PCm wires run through if you have a sound system in your car that is probably where they ran it i have everything run through there. The nitrous lines. the wires for all 4 of my switches and my sound system. I use the anntena off my car and tie the wire to the end of it and push it through the hole untill i see it come out of the top and i do all my tapping and i also ran a 12v from the battery into my center consle and then tapped all sources into it for all my switchs I did this as well with a ground wire

Thanks for the responses. For the PCM hole, where do the wires come out on the other side? Behind the glove box?

Should be just under and behind your glove box. You have to remove the kick panel to get to it, not real easy to see the hole but if you look up a bit you should find the wire sticking through.

I once ran into problems with heavy rain and slight leaking when i had wires going through the pcm hole
I went to the drivers side and just under the brake booster there are 2 factory holes that you can run wires through.
That is where all mine go through and no leaking problems there
