NOS is nitrous and why....

Ok I have to vent on you guys that want to complain about nitrous being called NOS, back in the day you only had one choice when it came to nitrous and that was NOS. It was Nitrous Oxide Systems, as in the big blue bottle that had a NOS sticker on it. Over the years NOS has become a slang word for a Nitrous Oxide System of any brand. You won?t hear it called ZEX or N2O anytime soon (other than by a few anal types). So when you hear NOS realize that it is in reference to a Nitrous Oxide System, regardless of the brand of kit that it is. So know I suppose it is your turn to tell me why it shouldn?t be called NOS, because we all know NOS is ?New Old Stock?.

It is totaly differnt when you have a NITROUS system I us NX and I am proud to say I use NX and not NOS

Your dumb, If you cant figure out the difference between NOS and nitrous im not even going to try to explain.

Damn Griff, had to resort to name calling? I didnt say dont be proud of you kit or your car. Just dont flame someone for refering to a Nitrous system as NOS. You can say yeah I have a NX Wet kit 20920
, or you can say I've got NOS.

I call it nitrous or juice. Did you think just because its NX it has a different name? Its just nitrous. All of you people can call it that. Just dont call it NOS.

Ok back to my first post, NOS is an Acronym for a Nitrous Oxide System be it NX NOS or whatever.

Call it whatever you want then. Because I dont really care. But I like to call it Nitrous. No sense in arguing about it. I always hear people call it NOS I dont bust there chops about it. I just like to call it nitrous.

Old wrong habits are ment to be broke there is no reason why the next generation of peopel should call nitrous something that it isnt. NOS that is a brand if you have a NOS system then u can say nos if not then dont worry about it we are trying to let the next generation of NITROUS users grow up to be smarter than you obviouly cant be saved from your ignorance.

OK, I personally hate it when people say I have nooooooos
It pisses me off and I have no problem correcting them straight to their face.
Now, in the nitrous forum, if someone says they have nos or want nos then I am thinking kit 5175 dry.
This becomes a problem, we all would not be on the same page.

You can call it a peanut butter and banana sandwich for all I care, but don?t flame some one for calling it NOS. I was just tryn? to clear the air about the ?NOS? acronym not being new old stock but (here it is one more time) being a nitrous oxide system because it is, it does not make it a Nitrous oxide systems system ok. On the same page it would be like saying a ?cool? car has a lower ambient temperature than most, call it phat if you want. The point is that NOS is a slang term for a nitrous system of any kind. If you want to call it ?juice? go ahead, is it? No.

Here's one for you... the company "NOS" is not pronounced like a word, it's meant to be said by pronouncing each individual letter. For example, I went to my speed shop today and asked them for a safety cap for an N-O-S bottle.
