Just a FYI, I have been here (on the board not posting just reading and studying) for quite some time and if you are unsure about my times there were others there. This is not I promise everyone. If I was not having issues with the car I believe I could have broken into the 14 sec zone.

all I know is that I blew a head gasket in Jan and had the heads off. So I had a local shop grind all the valves down to specs. I had 2 cylinders that did not have any decent compression so while the heads were off I spent the extra money to resolve any issues with the valves. Thank you for all the kind words, I will be heading to EnglishTown on June 29th. I will have these issues resolved prior to going to the track. I will keep everyone posted as to what numbers I run....

The headers just got back from being coated so I have not yet enjoyed the sound of them. I will have them installed by 29 June when I go to English Town...

Dang, I'm just kinda finding it hard that n/a it runs that fast, but I'll wander into you at e town sooner or later.
Hey, we are all skepticals, aren't we?
-OK, custom computer programming, what was done?
Timing advanced?
Mine was done by superchips and my timing was left stock
-Plugs, ngk tr6's gapped at 0.035, you said really cold delco's, well how cold?
-Regrind the head- well what was specifically done? milled, 3 angle valve job, pocket porting, bolw work?
-What bottle psi do you run?
-Your expectations are nice but I dunno. I know how much work and money I spent to see 14's n/a and 12's on the bottle and I have a 3.8
-You used mickey thompsons, et streets or drags? What size?
-In my opinion mickey thompson (et streets or drags) are WAY too much tire for 15's I saw 13.4 on street tires. 12.8 on drag radials
-What drag radials did you use, size, psi?
-What safety precautions do you have? FPSS, WOT switch, Blowdown tube, etc etc
-injectors, what size did you go to, did you send your computer back to superchips for the upgrade?
BTW, how much did you pay for your custom programming and upgrades, I remember how much mine were

Nitrous kits are universal, be it installed on a 4 cyl, v6, v8, v10 or whatever. The shops bs of not installing one of a v6 doesn't fly with me. One buddy of mine is taking his universal dry kit off a 91 buick skylark (16.7 n/a and 15.0 nitrous) and switching it to a 01 heads n cam ls1 (12.2 n/a)

Don't take this the wrong way, I am just finding it kinda hard to believe this.
I am always a disbeliever though.
If you have nitrous and frequently run at the track then you could answer the above questions.

If you are still having problems then maybe when you are at e town if you don't mind I might be able to look at the kit and trouble shoot from there.
Hopefully you didn't have superchips advance the timing and hopefully you are running plugs 2 ranges colder

Not a problem about being a disbeliever. Please remember one thing, I do computers for a living and I will try to answer all your issues.

OK, custom computer programming, what was done

I usually do stuff in bunches, when I purchased the car over three years ago it came with stock exhaust, breather, etc. I had the cat back system, K&N Filpk, installed and to the request of the speedshop the PCM (computer) was sent to superchips for reflashing. Timing left the same

Plugs, ngk tr6's gapped at 0.035, you said really cold delco's, well how cold?

I do not know how cold but the speed shop suggested DELCO over all other plugs.

Regrind the head- well what was specifically done? milled, 3 angle valve job, pocket porting, bolw work?

I blew a head gasket this past winter so the speedshop also suggested the heads get worked on while not on the block. I had 2 valves that where not seating properly so I approved the entire head have all valves reseated so I would be able to run NOS without to many fears

What bottle psi do you run?

I honestly do not know, but on this run it did not matter because it was without NOS and on street tires. I had several runs that day from 15.6, 15.9 and my first 15.3 that was done without the aid of NOS. The first run was also my first run of this year.

Your expectations are nice but I dunno. I know how much work and money I spent to see 14's n/a and 12's on the bottle and I have a 3.8

agreed, but I am really close. If I was to install a MSD 6A and a larger fuel pump and new fuel injectors I hope to see 14's

You used mickey thompsons, et streets or drags? What size?

I have purchased MT Sportmans Pro's for the track and they fit on a standard 16X8 Camaro Salad Shooter rim. I bought them used but I believe I am running to much tire pressure, currently they are at 20psi. A few people have suggested I lower them to 12/15 psi

What safety precautions do you have? FPSS, WOT switch, Blowdown tube, etc etc

I have a switch on the dash to turn on and off the NOS, I also have a dump tube right after the bottle should something happen to either the psi or getting hit. It directs the NOS outside the vehicle on the passenger side. I do not know what a FPSS or WOT is?

injectors, what size did you go to, did you send your computer back to superchips for the upgrade

Currently the car has stock injectors but they and all of the intake system was professionally rebuilt and cleaned etc......It cost me around 300.00 to have the computer reflashed.

Don't take this the wrong way, I am just finding it kinda hard to believe this.I am always a disbeliever though.

Not a problem I would be a disbeliever also had I not been the one in the car. One thing everyone is not taking in consideration is that I have had the top half of my motor rebuilt, gaskets replaced, intake cleaned, injectors cleaned, valve reseated, etc..... I also have replaced the 2.73 one legger with a Z-28 3.42 Posi and a B&M TransPak shift kit installed. The computer will be reflashed again prior to me going to E-Town on June 29th with my club ( CTFBA)

If you are still having problems then maybe when you are at e town if you don't mind I might be able to look at the kit and trouble shoot from there.

Thank you for the offer....

Um, so, for us to troubleshoot the problems take a look in my other post.
If you don't mind wander down that list of q's and answer them as specific as possible.
That is the only way we all can figure out what is wrong with the car.

What was done to the computer?
This shop, they like delco's? what part number?
2 ranges colder seems to work the best.
This shop did not install a fpss (fuel pressure safety switch) or offer a wot switch (wide open throttle), I'm not liking this shop already.

I'll take a look at the car at e town if I can make it.
Right off the bat things I would suggest:
ngk tr6's gapped at 0.035
install fpss
find out what was done to the heads, did they just clean them up or modifiy them?
find another nitrous shop
As for tire psi, 30 should be fine on nitrous if you stuck w/ et streets, honestly I would go back to street tires
