Ok, so I was proud of myself for how I mounted everything for the nitrous kit...

Got some pictures up of:
1. The bottle (in the spare tire well, and the knob is accessible through the speaker grille).
2. The location of the infamous schrader valve, and the fpss.
3. Where to mount the wot switch on the existing throttle linkage mount (on a '98 anyway).
4. A place to mount the solenoids.
5. A place for switches (arming switch and fan switch).

Thanks!

It's easier than taking that spare tire panel out and putting it back every time. Just pull the speaker grille off, turn the knob, pop the grille back on and go...

I have some, but that site only holds 285k of pics, and I hit it already. So I'll have to delete some of the other pics, or find another site. :(

Ok, I got a picture of the completed set up.

The top picture shows the solenoid bracket, before the solenoids went on. It shows the mounting location a little better. The bottom picture shows it all completed (except it doesn't show the relay on the fenderwell by the battery).

Click on the pictures for the full view. (use link in sig...)

Anthony, I sent you an email with a jpg.

The picture is of the installed tee, and it was 93k so I didn't have enough space on that f-body site to upload it, unless I deleted some other pics...

Let me know if you have questions.

I know it was a pain to reach back in there to work on that stuff...

thanks!
im jsut making sure that the line comming from the nitrous regulator is going to the right place. in my set up it is going to one of the short ends of the T. is that correct or should it go to the long end.

what was happning was the vacuum line kept blowing off the fuel press regulator.

If my T setup is right then the nitrous regulator must be messed up. right?

thats the only thing i can think of that would put too much press to the fuel press regulator.

thanks again!

I don't know how much pressure is supposed to get diverted to the fuel pressure regulator. There is a jet, in the vacuum line, to help manage the pressure, and allow it to bleed off when you're done.

It's a pain to reach, but I did put the supplied clamp on the line at the fp regulator, so if you haven't done this yet, that may solve it. If it is blowing off even with the clamp pinched tight, then it does sound like too much pressure is getting through.

You do have the correct placement of the lines. That is, if you are referring to the 2 ends that are directly across from each other as the short sides. I don't remember which looked shorter when I put mine together...

yeah when i say the short sides i mean the two across frome each other.

i think a guy at a local speed shop said there should be no more than 40 psi going to the fuel pressure regulator. I have a metal screw clamp on it now but im pretty sure there is more than 40 psi going to it. im just going to call NOS and see what they think and ask how much a new nitrous regulator is.

thanks

I didn't have any clamp or anything.
I either just squished the line in there or used a small zip tie

You may have gotten a bad regulator out of the box. Hopefully if that's the case, they'll replace it for you.

One more question, the long end of the tee is not obstructed is it? That would let the nitrous pressure continue to build in the line... It should be tied into a vacuum source on the intake somethere. I figure this is probably ok, but wanted to doublecheck to make sure we didn't overlook anything obvious.

yeah i hope thats the case too. I doubt NOS will replace it for free but its worth a "shot"(he he)

ok. thats a good question. the long part of the "T" is going to a sensor that is on the top left of the engine. i think it tests pressure but im not sure. well i think this sensor does connect to the top of the engine. when i took it out the sensor went deep into it. it is part of the vacuum system.

what do you have the long part of the T connected to?
